We utilize a combination of rapid-rotation intensive plantings of food crops, cannabis and cover crops to maximize the amount of time that living roots are feeding living soil and vice versa. We want to grow the highest quality foods and medicines that we can and we have seen the results continue to rise as the soil takes on a deeper richness and virility with every passing season. More than a decade in to farming this ground we've learned a lot but have so much still to discover. Careful observation and a practiced eye, the best fertilizer is the farmers shadow. We do some hugelkultur and many terraces with perennials and wild spaces crafted in the banks to serve as pollinator habitat and to foster biodiversity. We want to see as many species as possible thriving on our little patches of hillside and the blooming flowers and buzzing insects bring us great joy as we carry out the journey.
